Yes, there are cheaper skates in the market but these are well worth the extra money. The full quarter and ankle padding provide extra comfort and support. The synthetic lining ensures additional support and is durable. The foam backed vinyl/mesh tongue provides comfort, warmth and instep protection. The Mystique has a leather-look that features fully lined, durable, scuff resistant PU coated leather uppers. Also has a water resistant PVC outsole and a chrome blade. These are figure skates that you will enjoy skating on.

I am really happy with these skates, and although I'm still breaking them in and that is somewhat uncomfortable, my feet aren't blistered when I take them off after skating. The skates are supportive and fit great on a wide foot. I'm just starting out and I feel like these were a great buy for a beginner like me.
